“Helping people be in the right place, with the right people, so they will do the right thing”
Dear Friends of Bridge Houses,
As we approach the end of 2019, Bridge Houses would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your prayers and financial support of this ministry.
Since the Fall of 2016, when we felt the call to establish a non-profit organization that would help homeless women in our community, we have been on an exciting journey. A journey of stepping out in faith, reaching out to those in need, and reaching out to our community for help; striving to learn more everyday and be faithful in what we have been called to do.
The vision of BRIDGE HOUSES is to minister to women who are homeless, to love and stand with those who are moving towards healing and recovery, women who have no resources of their own......to come along side of these women with compassion in their journey, to offer a hand-up not a hand-out
After moving from the apartments to a house, this year we have been able to minister to seven women in our housing program; giving structure as well as accountability, and helping three mothers reconnect with and be able to spend time with their children after an extended time away from them.
In addition to continuing our weekly ministry at Washington County Jail, this year God has opened the door for us to go into the prisons as well; facilitating life-skills classes with Prison Fellowship at Dick Conner’s Correctional Center and going into Mabel Bassett Correction Center with Kairos Prison Ministry. We are confident that the seeds planted through these outreaches will be fruitful in the lives of these individuals when they become returning citizens to our state. There are positive changes happening in the state of Oklahoma and we are excited to be a part of helping people move forward to a better life for themselves and their children. A hand-up, not a hand-out.
Please remember Bridge Houses and the homeless women we minister to. We cannot do this without you!
Bridge Houses is an exempt organization as described in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. All donations are tax deductible.
Thank you for your heart for Women in Recovery and your continuing support,
