WHO WE ARE
Our Vision and Mission
The vision of BRIDGE HOUSES is to minister to women; to love and stand with those who are moving towards healing and recovery, women coming out of dysfunctional situations who have no resources of their own......to come alongside these women with compassion in their journey, to offer a hand up not a hand-out.
The mission of Bridge Houses is simply to to help women be in the right place, with the right people.......so they will do the right thing.
Nancy Love-Wilson, Executive Director has been doing jail ministry in Washington County jail since 2014 when she moved to Washington County from Tulsa; where she was trained at Guts Church Second Mile Ministry Training. She currently works part-time with Building Bridges of Oklahoma facilitating classes in the community and at the jail.
Nancy volunteered with another home for women until it closed early in 2016. Her passion is to serve the people of our community that sometimes fall through the cracks, to tell them the truth of Jeremiah 29:11.....That God has an amazing plan for us all.
Nancy's professional background is in Human Resource Consulting, Staffing and Office Mangement. She was employed by Career Development Partners as Director, Business Services, from July of 2007 to December of 2017.
Stan Wilson has been an EMT-I with Bartlesville Ambulance Service for over 25 years and was the assistant to the Director of Emergency Management for Washington County for several years. He also works part-time at Oklahoma Wesleyan University in their maintenance department. He is a Ride Captain with the Patriot Guard Riders. Stan is an active volunteer at Spirit Church in Bartlesville. He has a servant's heart, always looking for opportunities to help people everywhere he goes.
Kathleen Hargis started doing jail and prison ministry in 1994 and was hooked. She believes the one thing that has been lacking in our community is an environment for people who want to change, through a relationship with Jesus Christ, to keep from getting pulled back into a negative lifestyle. She believes the structure of the Bridge Houses can fill this vital need.
Kathleen is a powerful prayer warrior for Bridge Houses, partnering with us to seek guidance and wisdom from God.
Vanessa Cox-Franklin works for Prison Fellowship as the Oklahoma Field Director.
She has been active in prison re-entry ministry since 2009. Vanessa is committed to being part of reducing the recidivism rate in the state of Oklahoma and helping the returning citizens begin a new season in their lives. She feels this begins with a strong spiritual foundation and education. "We need to build more chapels than prisons." "We first must become the change we seek" is her message.
Vanessa brings over 20 years of experience in sales, marketing, and recruiting. Before joining the Prison Fellowship team she served as the Director of Network Recruiting for Career Development Partners.
She facilitates the "Getting Ahead While Getting Out" program at Eddie Warrior Correctional Center, serves as a board member for the Camp Burge Youth and Adolescence Development Foundation, Inc., and looks forward to being part of the future of Bridge Houses, Inc.
